Act fast: Get $30 in credits as a Walmart+ member
There is a sweet deal out there right now for Walmart+ subscribers, which will include many TPG readers since the monthly membership fee is refunded as a statement credit as a perk of holding The Platinum Card® from American Express.
You can earn $15 in Lyft credits and another $15 in Walmart Cash just for watching a year-in-review story within the Walmart app. I was able to earn the credits after I spent about 10 minutes downloading the Walmart app on my phone and watching a short story.
You’ll need to be a Walmart+ subscriber. Simply open the app and look for the banner ad that says “Your Walmart+ 2024 Ultimate Savings Rewind is here!”
Once you’ve clicked on the banner ad, a personalized look back at your year will open.
You’ll need to toggle through a series of screens showing your benefits and your “shopping personality.” There are also a few questions to answer. It takes just a few minutes.
Once I’d completed those steps, I was rewarded with a $15 Lyft credit and $15 in Walmart Cash.
The Walmart Cash was instantly deposited into my Walmart+ account. This will come in handy as I do my last-minute holiday shopping.
I also was able to instantly apply the Lyft credit to my account, though note the quick expiration date. You might want to wait to apply the credit until you know you can use it. In my case, I’ll be able to use it before the expiration date of Jan. 19, 2025.
I’ve been thrilled with my Walmart+ expedited delivery subscription, especially since the benefit is essentially free with my American Express Platinum Card. Treats like this make me an even more loyal customer.

We don’t know how long this promotion will last, so you may want to get in on it sooner rather than later.
A monthly Walmart+ membership offers free and fast shipping on items from walmart.com. Though you may not use every single credit on the Amex Platinum Card, this could be one where you find some surprise utility.
