Breeze Airways is expanding its footprint in Florida.

The Provo, Utah-based low-cost carrier announced three new nonstop routes Tuesday. Each will touch one of its operating bases in the Sunshine State.

Two of the new routes involve flights to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) near Fort Myers, where Breeze is set to open its newest base later this year.

Islip expansion

Breeze’s new Islip route to Fort Myers will give the carrier a fourth nonstop destination from New York’s Long Island come October. The airline already flies nonstop to Charleston International Airport (CHS) in South Carolina, Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Virginia and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina.

That route is just the latest boost for Islip, which recently landed a new airline altogether in JetBlue.

Fort Myers will be a new point on the map for Islip travelers.

Additional flights to Orlando

On top of adding those three new routes, Breeze is also expanding its service between northeast Pennsylvania and Central Florida.

Starting Oct. 8, the carrier will add a fifth weekly round trip between Wilkes-Barre Scranton and Orlando.

Flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
