Deal alert: Flights start at $46 or 4,000 miles with Alaska Airlines’ fall sale

Alaska Airlines just dropped its annual fall fare sale, offering one-way Saver fares for West Coast destinations for as low as $46 or 4,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles. The sale covers hundreds of routes in the airline’s network — including Hawaii — for travel this fall.

Some of the cheapest deals we found include flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Portland International Airport (PDX) in Oregon for only $49 each way. We also saw one-way fares from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) available for 4,000 miles.

There are other bargains to be found, and the travel window is quite accommodating — from Aug. 8 through Dec. 18. However, you must book by 11:59 p.m. PDT on Aug. 8. Keep in mind, too, that there are blackout dates, and restrictions vary by city. Sale fares include a free carry-on bag.
