Fall promo: Earn double points on Hyatt Mr & Mrs Smith hotel stays
Hyatt’s newest promotion celebrates its recent incorporation of 800-plus luxurious Mr & Mrs Smith properties around the world, ranging from an apartment-style hotel in downtown Reykjavik to an all-inclusive hot spring resort in the Rocky Mountains. This fall is the perfect time to explore Hyatt’s newest addition because World of Hyatt members can earn double points at Mr & Mrs Smith properties.
- Earn double points on eligible stays at Mr & Mrs Smith hotels participating in World of Hyatt.
- You must book through Hyatt’s website, app or Global Care Center; stays booked through Mr & Mrs Smith’s site are not eligible.
- Register by Nov. 30 and complete your stay by Dec. 24.
- The terms and conditions state that you must complete your stay (but not necessarily book it) after you register. So if you already have a Mr & Mrs Smith stay planned during the promotion window, you could potentially still earn double points.
- You can apply this promotion to multiple stays. The terms and conditions do not mention a maximum number of points you can earn.
This is pretty exciting news for World of Hyatt loyalists, especially since the program’s dynamic pricing system for Mr & Mrs Smith has made booking these high-end (and high-price-tag) properties with points largely not worth it. With this promotion, you could stack up Hyatt points on paid Mr & Mrs Smith stays and use them to book a later stay for free at another property. Hyatt still uses an award chart for most of its hotels, meaning there are some great sweet spots to be found. You can even use points to book all-inclusive resorts.
All Hyatt members earn 5 base points per dollar spent on Hyatt stays, including at Mr & Mrs Smith properties. This promotion will double that for a total of 10 points per dollar. Plus, Hyatt elite members will earn their usual tier bonus on base points (10%, 20% or 30%, depending on your status).
Also, World of Hyatt cardmembers can earn an additional 4 points per dollar spent when they pay for their stay with their card. So you could earn up to 15.5 points per dollar if you’re a top-tier Globalist member with the World of Hyatt Credit Card or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card.
Even if you’re not an elite member or cardholder, the points can still add up quickly. For example, let’s say your Mr & Mrs Smith stay costs $1,000 before taxes and fees. Basic members would earn 10,000 points through this promotion — more than enough for a night at a Category 2 Hyatt property on peak dates. You can also redeem Hyatt points for add-ons like room upgrades and dining and spa services at Hyatt hotels.

If you haven’t finalized your fall travel plans yet, this promotion is worth considering. Even if you’re not sure you’ll make it to a Mr & Mrs Smith property in the near future, we always recommend registering for hotel promotions in case you end up being able to use them.
