Want to rise up the ranks of your cruise line’s loyalty program at quadruple speed? If you’re a fan of Princess Cruises, you’re in luck.
When you book one of Princess’ inclusive packages for sailings departing between Aug. 1 and Dec. 1, you’ll earn double the usual number of cruise credits. The credits are one of two ways passengers can reach elite status under the line’s Captain’s Circle loyalty program. (The other way — the number of days cruised — is not affected by this promotion.)
Travelers who cruise with Princess in standard accommodations between those dates and purchase either the Princess Plus or Princess Premier Package will receive two cruise credits per voyage instead of one. Both packages include extras like Wi-Fi, gratuities, meals in specialty restaurants, drink packages, fitness classes and elevated desserts in their prices.

Cruise credits are then used to determine loyalty status:
- Gold: After your first completed cruise
- Ruby: After three cruise credits
- Platinum: After five cruise credits
- Elite: After 15 cruise credits

Here’s the twist: Passengers booked in suites or who pay a single supplement to sail solo in cabins meant for two people are awarded double cruise credits under the regular program. As part of this promotion, cruisers who sail solo or book a suite and purchase a Princess package will earn four times the number of cruise credits.
Say you’ve never cruised with Princess before, and you book a sailing in a suite or travel solo in a standard room under this promotion. Then, the four cruise credits you earn will allow you to skip Gold status completely and sail straight to Ruby for your second voyage.
If you’re already in the system as Ruby when taking a qualifying cruise that earns you four cruise credits, you’ll be Platinum by the following sailing.
Although each tier has some nice offerings — such as a recognition pin and access to members-only onboard events — Platinum is the level that truly brings value. It offers priority boarding at embarkation, 50% off internet packages and discounts on spa treatments, among other perks.
Princess introduced its add-on packages to provide options for cruisers looking for more inclusive fares. In 2023, Princess expanded the package offerings to include items that had previously been free to all cruisers and would now have charges without a package purchase.
The Princess Loyalty Accelerator Offer is valid on voyages departing between Aug. 1 and Dec. 1. One of the two packages must be added to valid bookings no later than two days before the sailing date.
