Our favorite ‘new ways to stay’ with Hilton

Hilton’s recent acquisitions and partnerships have not only added more destinations to its already strong lineup but have also provided travelers with the opportunity to stay at properties that reflect their travel style while earning and redeeming Hilton Honors™ points.

Here are a few of our favorites.

Graduate by Hilton Cincinnati

HILTON PHOTOGRAPHY

Graduate by Hilton knows a thing or two about school spirit. With locations conveniently near college campuses, Graduate by Hilton infuses each property with playful, inviting spaces for friends, family and fans to gather and decor that pays homage to the town’s history and collegiate culture.

Take Graduate by Hilton Cincinnati, for example. Located on the University of Cincinnati campus, the hotel incorporates the Bearcats’ colors into much of its decor, but the tribute doesn’t stop there. You’ll also find nods to the things that Cincinnati is most well known for, like the city’s unique take on chili and its legacy as the former headquarters of the Kenner toy company.

Rooms at Graduate by Hilton Cincinnati start at $140 or 43,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

How to get even more from your Hilton stays

HILTON

Regardless of where you choose to stay, Hilton’s cobranded credit cards offer valuable perks. Plus, with their current elevated welcome offers, they can help you earn points that you can redeem for award stays.

If you are interested in a no-annual-fee card (see rates and fees), consider the Hilton Honors American Express Card. You can earn an elevated offer of 100,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $2,000 in purchases on the card in the first six months of card membership. Offer ends Jan. 8, 2025. Terms apply.

You’ll also get automatic Hilton Honors Silver status, which includes perks like bonus points on Hilton Honors Base Points earned on paid stays and the fifth night free when you book a standard room stay with only points. Terms apply.

Currently, you can earn a whopping 165,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $3,000 in purchases on the card within the first six months of card membership when you apply and are approved for the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card. This welcome offer, which ends Jan. 8, 2025, is worth $990 according to TPG’s December 2024 valuations, but that’s not all you get with this card. Terms apply.

One of the most valuable ongoing benefits of this card, which has a $150 annual fee (see rates and fees), is automatic Hilton Honors Gold status. This benefit comes with the same perks as Hilton Silver status, plus room upgrades at select properties when space is available and a complimentary food-and-beverage credit (available at select brands in the U.S.). Terms apply.

So, exactly how far can those points take you? Most Hilton award stays range from 5,000 to 150,000 Hilton Honors points per night for standard rooms, so you could splurge on one or two nights at a luxury resort or stretch those points into a four- or five-night stay at a budget-friendly property.

Bottom line

With Hilton’s ever-expanding portfolio, you have new ways to stay, no matter where your travels take you. If you want to make the most of your stay, don’t forget to take advantage of the current elevated welcome offers on some of Hilton’s most popular cards.

Whether you are traveling back to your alma mater for the big homecoming game or want a spot where you can enjoy the great outdoors and the great indoors, there’s a Hilton stay for you.
