If your upcoming travels include a segment in United Polaris business class, you might want to pack your sweet tooth.

That’s because the Chicago-based carrier is updating its famed ice cream sundae service with a new limited-time treat: the so-called “United Polaris x Tillamook Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sundae.”

This new sundae option is available now through July 31 as part of the dessert service for travelers flying United Polaris business class on international long-haul flights.

The good seats: United unveils revamped Polaris experience with new sleep-focused amenities

United says that this sundae is inspired by the popularity of strawberries this season, with people enjoying them in matcha lattes and using them as inspiration for their makeup looks.

As part of the tie-up, United is giving its flight attendants precise instructions for crafting the perfect strawberry shortcake sundae. This includes:

Because the sundaes are created at your seat, you can ask for as much or as little of each topping as you’d like. Note that United’s other various plated desserts, as well as the signature fruit and cheese plate, will remain available as alternative options for a post-dinner treat.

Serving ice cream sundaes at the end of a business-class meal has become somewhat of a tradition among U.S. airlines. For years, American has partnered with Haagen Dazs to create delectable sundaes in the sky. Note that American doesn’t offer a sundae cart; rather, the crew creates the concoction in the galley according to your order.

Delta also offers ice cream in the business-class cabin on long-haul flight; however, the airline frequently rotates the selection, and traditional sundaes aren’t always available.

United also serves ice cream in the Premium Plus cabin on long-haul flights, but it doesn’t offer its signature sundae service there.
